Employer Matching

Did you know?

You may be able to double the impact of your donation!

We encourage you to check with your human resources department to see if your employer matches your charitable giving.

Many employers, big and small, sponsor matching gift programs to match charitable contributions made by their employees. Gifts from employees’ spouses and retirees may also qualify for a match. Finding out if your employer has a matching gift program only takes a few minutes.

How do you request a matching donation?

  1. Make your personal donation to HBEF. Any donation made may be eligible if your company offers a matching gift program.

  2. Check with your Human Resources department to confirm the possibility of a matching gift to HBEF. HBEF may have already been approved by them as a recipient. If not, they will send us a request to confirm.

  3. Submit for a match. Requesting a matching gift is normally a five minute process which must be initiated by the donor / employee. You can do this by filling out and submitting a paper match form provided by your employer or through an electronic submission process. Your HR representative will confirm if they use a paper or electronic process.

  4. Your employer may contact HBEF to confirm your donation. If they are unsure where to send the confirmation request please direct them to us at matching@hbef.org.
