Help Hermosa Beach children reach their full potential today! There are numerous ways for you to contribute to our outstanding schools.
Annual Appeal
The Annual Appeal is an annual fund raising campaign to raise money for the following school year. The appeal aims to raise funds for our district so that we can maintain the high-quality learning environment, which Hermosa parents expect and demand. Donations are accepted at any time during the year, with a cut off date of June 30. All funds collected by June 30 are then given to the school district for use during the following school year. Donations can be made in one lump sum or through a recurring donation with your credit card. To donate online now, click here.
Hang 10 Club
Do you own a business or service company? The Hang 10 Club card program might be for you. This card provides discounts and/or specials to any donor of the HBEF Annual Appeal of $300 or more. As a business, you will receive advertising through monthly emails to promote your discount or special, inclusion of your logo in mailings and Beach Reporter ads, recognition at and a ticket to our annual Hearts of Hermosa event and more. This club is exclusive to Hermosa Beach businesses or businesses owned by a Hermosa resident. For more information contact Dawn Crawford.
Grandparents Club
Hermosa Beach has the great tradition of supporting excellence in education, and now we plan to pass that tradition on from generation to generation. That’s what the Grandparents Club is all about. If there is one thing you have earned, it’s the right to brag a little! All donations to the Grandparents Club go straight to the Annual Appeal, so 100% of your tax-deductible donation helps fund important school programs. Endowment
The HBEF Endowment Fund is a permanent fund that will provide a stable source of funding for our schools once reaching our objective of $2,000,000. Since 1992, our endowment fund has steadily grown through the annual contribution of 20% of HBEF funds raised, direct donations to the endowment and investment gains. As of June 2012 the balance of the fund exceeds $1,000,000. Anyone can give directly to the HBEF’s endowment fund, and by doing so you’re investing in the future of both our schools and our community.
