Teacher Grants
Every year, the HBEF makes available one-time grants directly to HBCSD teachers and staff for innovative and creative programs that they feel will enhance our schools curriculum and children’s education. These grants range in price from $100 to $3,000. Applicants are encouraged to submit proposals designed to enhance classroom practices, stimulate students and add significant value to the curriculum. Once the Grant committee receives the proposals they are reviewed with the school principals and teachers for validity and then brought back to the HBEF board to vote. The Ed Foundation tries to support diverse academic subjects. While most teacher grants are designed to support a program in a given school year, some grants in the recent past have been used over multiple years.
